About Us
We are a trans-denomination (transcend, trans = to go beyond) community centered on Jesus—welcoming people from every background, tradition, and stage of faith. Our aim is to move beyond labels, politics, and institutional lines, focusing instead on what unites us: a shared pursuit of Christ and a life shaped by His Spirit.
Whether you’ve followed Jesus for years or are simply exploring who He is, there is space for you here. We value honest conversation, spiritual growth, and living out faith in everyday life. We gather to learn from Scripture, encourage one another, and participate in what God is continuing to do through His people.
This is a place to belong, to ask questions, and to grow—without needing to have everything figured out. We seek to remain open and attentive to the work of the Holy Spirit, trusting Him to guide, form, and empower us as we follow Jesus together.

Our Core Values
01
Scripture & Spirit
We believe the Bible is God's living Word, and the Holy Spirit is a real person. Both the Spirit and the Scripture are needed to know God's will, voice, and mind. According to Scripture, the Holy Spirit reveals Christ the Savior, Healer, King, and Lord to sinful human beings.
03
Discipleship & Spiritual Formation
We long to be sharpened, freed, developed, healed, and deployed to be disciples who make disciples of all nations. Not only the select few, but all who believe are sent as Kingdom priests and missionaries to our families, workplaces, and world.
02
Everything from Prayer
All we do comes from prayer and intimacy with God. We prioritize only doing what the Father wants us to do, nothing more. Prayer & worship is our lifeline. Through these, we learn to rest in God's presence without striving religiously.
04
Fellowship without Walls
We do not let denominational, church, national, political, socio-economic, racial, or any other worldly divisions hinder us from fellowship with those who love the Lord.
05
Building Holy Spirit Communities
It is not good for anyone to be alone. We need community in order to be a counter-cultural community of faith. We commit to creating spaces to meet like-minded friends and to seek the Holy Spirit's leading, nurture, and unity.
06

Humility, Love, and Joy
Humility Heals. Pride Prevents. Love is the ultimate motivation, power, and goal for relationships. Joy is the fruit that comes from humility & love. We are on guard against pride, indifference, and joylessness. We believe the Holy Spirit's fruit is humility, love, and joy.
The Statement of Faith for Fire & Rice is rooted in the revelation of God through the Old and New Testaments. We confess the historic statements given to the Christian Church through the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed.
We believe in:

-
The Trinitarian God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit who is sovereign in creation, providence, revelation, redemption, and final judgment. (Matthew 28:19, John 20:21; Colossians 1:16)
-
Scripture: Both the Old and New Testaments as the absolute authority in all matters of faith, knowledge of God, and how we are to live. (1 Peter 3:16; 2 Tim. 3:16)
-
Sin and the Savior: All human beings are universally cursed by sin and thus, separated from God and needing a Savior in order to experience salvation. (Romans 3:23)
-
The Cross: Because of His love, God has provided the ultimate sacrifice through the death of the incarnate Son. This is the only means by which salvation can be found. (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:16)
-
Faith: Through faith in Christ’s work on the cross and His resurrection, all people can experience redemption, eternal life, and a personal relationship with God. (Romans 5:1)
-
The Holy Spirit: The Spirit of the Father, and the Son that speaks, guides, loves, leads, and sanctifies those with saving faith. (John 14:25, John 20:21)
-
Unity of the Church: Through the leading of the Holy Spirit, although full of diversity and differences, the church of Jesus Christ is one body under His headship. (Ephesians 4:5)
-
The Return: The Lord Jesus Christ is expected to return again, of which those who believe await the second coming. (Matthew 24:42; Revelation 22:12)
